Here at Around The Net (ATN) Hockey Skill Training, we provide players of all levels and ages the opportunity to challenge themselves to improve their skills and maximize their game. We provide players with the knowledge and tools to reach their full potential. We specialize in small group training and spring leagues that provide individualized attention with focus on repetition and proper correction. We approach hockey in a fun and challenging way that pushes players outside of their comfort zone.
ATN Hockey Skill Training was inspired by director Scotty Howes. Howes is a retired professional ice hockey player, playing 8 years professional up until the end of the 2015/2016 season. Howes started playing hockey at 3 years old on a house league team in Toronto. Howes played Junior A for the Wexford Raiders in Toronto. Howes was not drafted to the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) but instead was recruited by the Quebec Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) for the Drummondville Voltigeurs and later traded to the Saint John Sea Dogs (QMJHL). Coming out of junior, Howes signed a two-year contract with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL) and Victoria Salmon Kings with the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). Howes also attended the rookie camp for the Vancouver Canucks (NHL) his first pro year. Howes is passionate about staying involved in the game he loves and working with players to take their game to the next level.
